I've been spending more time out of WoW over the weekend. Longer updates will follow. For now, no, during the week, there's not enough buying of Crystallized Fire to support me and the monopolist at 10 each.
A change in strategy, down to 5 CFs at a time and well under 2g per resulted in selling 10 or more of them over the weekend. I also started dabbling in short-duration low-bid resales and conversions. Cheap Greater essences cut into Lesser essences and selling for 20% profit or more; cheap mats in goofy-sized stacks resold as singles for 20% profit or more; green drops from questing sold for 15% below Disenchant value; that sort of "little stuff".
But the little stuff adds up. A lot of folks think the trick to making money on the AH is getting a big score on a BoE epic, and that can be a part of your trade, but the really strong stuff is the little stuff that sells over and over and over.
More to come.
