Mount Changes = Money Making Opportunity

Mount Changes coming in the next patch -
  • 60% mount - available at 20
  • 100% mount - available at 40
  • flying mount - available at 60
Remember all the wailing and gnashing of teeth when the Riding Crop got nerfed?
Well, now there may be a reason for people to buy them, which will also mean there may be a reason to craft and sell them again.

Riding Crop may be making a comeback.

  2. The Riding Crop is only functional from level 68 to level 70. With a faster-on-the-ground basic flying mount available in 3.2, and considerably cheaper epic ground mounts, there will be 3 full levels of more players with more mounts.

Also, all players will now already have flying mounts when they hit 68.

I won't even speculate about possible changes Blizz might make to the level requirements of the crop, itself.

  4. They would have to change the level requirements to make it useful again, imo.

  5. I believe blizz has said they were getting away from items adding to mount speed because it devalued the talents that some classes had to improve this. So I doubt we'll see any re-evaluation of the riding crop.

That said, blizz certain has changed their minds before and on larger things than this little item.

  7. Not dead, just fallen on my priority list of things to do, right behind Find a Job, Raise my Kid, Spend Time with my Wife, and Actually Play WoW.

There will be more, I promise. Right now, it's pretty boring on the money front.
    Collect Mail(sales and fails)
    Scan AH
    Post Glyphs (batch post)
    Rescan AH
Buyout all Adder's Tongue below 19g and send to Main.
    Make Ink
Craft any glyph with Undercut above 10g(10-20 ea)
Send Glyphs and Snowfall Ink to banker
    Rescan, Repost

I only craft new glyphs about once a week, maybe every other week, when I notice sales slipping due to reduced inventory.

I only really "play" on Raid Night, once night a week, other times, I'm just checking AH for sales and relists. Otherwise, Real Life calls.
